The ginkgo tree can live for a thousand years. It is a living fossil because it is unchanged for more than 200 million years and thus it is a symbol for longevity and endurance. Besides all that it is simply beautiful and needed to be part of my collection of leaves 
Love how the polished brass earrings catches the sun.
I hammered the brass and then polished it to a shiny finish. Lastly I preserved them from tarnishing by coating them with a special finish and handmade kidney hooks.
The earrings are designed to 'hug' your jaw bone. Wear the long petal close to your face and the short on facing out. But in the end you can be the rebel and do whatever makes you feel happy and therefore beautiful.
Each earring is about 3.2" from top to bottom and yet it is still lightweight at 0.2 oz.
